"We have developed friendships while playing soccer, jumping rope, and coloring. The smiles come slowly to the faces of the children trying to understand who we are and why we are there, but when those smiles appear we are filled with warmth and hope. We are welcomed into homes with greetings like, "Mi casa es su casa." (My house is your house.) The gracious nature of the people we meet is overwhelming. My life and the lives of my children will forever be enriched by our experiences with the Honduran people." -Carol Dale
"The most remarkable thing about Honduras was the people. These people have nothing; they live in absolute poverty and they are the most caring, giving people I have ever met. Their faith truly guides them in life and they are so generous to share what little they have." -Rosie Diamant
"At the meetings we discussed what we could bring for supplies for the Hondurans. This gave me the year to gather supplies. It made me look at items in a new way; something that I may have thrown away in the past was now an item worth saving and packing. While in Honduras we visited many different villages. We were able experience the culture first hand. It was amazing how these people welcomed such a large group of strangers into their homes. They were so generous and kind; they even fed us. It was wonderful to able to bring supplies and see first hand where the supplies go to. The people in Honduras have faces and names, it is not just an organization that you are writing a check out to." -Susan Hardy
"Most people don't realize that the only thing that makes us different from the Honduran people is just the randomness of geography. If you or I had been born in Honduras, we would most likely be living a life of poverty, just like the majority of these people. It's hard to imagine a life of no luxuries or no opportunities. If we had to walk in their shoes, I'm sure we would be miserable. But the Hondurans aren't miserable...they're animated, exciting, bright and lovely people. They are a reminder that you don't need to have a lot of possessions to have a good life. You just need to be grateful for each day you have to enjoy each other." -Terry Bartick
"I truly believe I left my heart in Honduras" ~Brittany Croteau
